Hi Everyone

My name is IDDRISU KHADIJAH. I’m a 23-year-old and I’m from Ghana 🇬🇭.

Growing up, I had always had a dream of becoming a pilot but then I had to change my career along the way of becoming a teacher because by then, there wasn’t an aviation school in my Country. I went to the University of Development Studies (UDS) to study a course in EDUCATION. I graduated in 2022 and had my Diploma in Education.

I would say no one inspired me to choose Aviation because it was already my childhood dream. I used to visit the airport with my friends when I was in a Barracks School in Tamale, Ghana 🇬🇭 and I always have great memories from that whenever I visit there. Seeing the aircraft packed up in order was a great feeling 🤩

Every Career comes with Challenges. Yes! I admit that but the passion and dedication always keep us going for 💯

My challenge was about my funds after I told my Dad how interested I was in becoming a pilot, I wasn’t sure if he would be able to support me financially but then he didn’t deny stopping me from achieving my dreams, he only said I should hold on till he’s fully ready to support my carrier. Luckily enough, I was able to start my journey at Flyfofa Aviation School in South Africa 🇿🇦 in May 2023. I’m still a student and hoping to go solo someday soon.

One thing my Dad used to say; In this World whatever field you find yourself in, no matter the obstacles or challenges don’t ever give up, giving up is for the weak, But always put God first and keep praying to him, he shall never fail you and you shall succeed at the end. My Advice to whoever is willing to join the Aviation Industry or already in aviation is “Never Give Up, as my Dad once said; Giving up is for the weak so don’t be discouraged, Always keep working harder and you shall achieve your Dreams someday.” Hopefully. SO NEVER GIVE UP.

As Nelson Mandela once said; it always seems impossible until it is done that’s why I still believe one day I’m going to achieve my Dreams and make everyone proud most especially my Parents and my Country at large🇬🇭

The sky is not the limit. It’s just the beginning. Once everyone can do it. You can as well.
